Automating nut tightening using machine learning

During the summer of 2019, an experiment was conducted at the Stena Industry Innovation Lab (SII-Lab) by Kevin Wedin, Christoffer Johnsson and Viktor Bengtsson, to investigate the possibility of using robots and a vision system to identify nuts and see which nuts to pull on it. specific station.

To see which nuts to pull, machine learning was used. This process consisted of three parts, field review, setting up an environment and training and testing machine learning models. The robot used for implementation is Sawyer from Rethink Robotics.
