Lessons learned from 3D scanning of production systems
3D scanning can be used in order to create a precise, realistic image of a production system. This article outlines the lessons learned during six case studies in which production systems with similar background issues were scanned. The results indicate that sound planning and preparation are the key factors in ensuring high quality and precision for scanned data.
