Sequence planning and optimisation of production systems – thesis project

This thesis project provides examples of how operational sequences can be verified and optimised by using the Sequence Planner (SP) tool. The tool was further developed during the thesis project to enable more complex robotic sequences to be tested in the virtual production system. As a result, the sequences from SP can be used in order to implement and modulate robots and certain fixtures (which can then be used during virtual commissioning). Supervisory control theory was applied during the thesis project in order to avoid blocking and deadlock.
