Virtual commissioning of production processes – thesis project

There are issues with virtual commissioning in regard to integration. This thesis project examines the requirements associated with the virtual model in relation to commissioning.

The objective of the project was to demonstrate how a virtual model from a case study and a PLC can be used in order to verify the requirements from the virtual model. It also suggests how virtual commissioning can be realised by, for example, placing greater demand on suppliers in relation to robot and component models. One example of a requirement could entail simplified models which can easily be generated and have a wide range of applications.
